About Tempus
Built for the moment after diagnosis.
Tempus Cognitive Collective exists because the healthcare system does an increasingly good job of diagnosing cognitive decline — and then largely leaves individuals and families to figure out what comes next on their own. We are building the infrastructure to change that in Northeast Georgia.
Our mission
To provide navigation, meaningful engagement, caregiver support, education, and community connection for individuals and families impacted by cognitive decline — through every season that follows a diagnosis.
Our vision
A Northeast Georgia where no individual or family faces cognitive decline alone — where every person has access to a navigator, every caregiver has a community, and every employer has a partner.
What we believe
Dignity first
Every person living with cognitive decline deserves to be seen, engaged, and treated with full dignity — not managed, not warehoused, not forgotten.
The family is the unit of care
Cognitive decline does not happen to one person. It happens to a family. Our programs are designed to support the whole system — not just the individual with a diagnosis.
Navigation changes outcomes
The difference between a family that finds its footing and one that falls apart is often a single informed guide. We are building that guide into the infrastructure of our community.
Community is the intervention
Isolation accelerates decline. Connection slows it. The Club at Tempus is not a daycare — it is a therapeutic community built around the science of engagement.
Transparency in everything
We are a founding-stage organization. We will tell you exactly where we are, what we have built, what we are still building, and what we do not yet know.
Workforce and community are connected
Caregiving is not a private family matter — it is a workforce issue, a public health issue, and a community infrastructure issue. Tempus is designed to address all three.
Why Northeast Georgia. Why now.
Northeast Georgia is growing rapidly — and aging rapidly with it. The region has a significant and growing population of adults 65 and older, a healthcare system that is stretched thin, and almost no dedicated infrastructure for families navigating cognitive decline after diagnosis.
The gap between diagnosis and meaningful support is not a gap that will close on its own. It requires intentional infrastructure — built by people who understand both the clinical landscape and the human experience of living inside it.
Tempus is being built to close that gap. Not someday. Now.
The founder's story
I watched my Nana Ann and my family navigate a diagnosis without a map. I watched my mom try to hold together without a guide. I knew there had to be a better way not just for our family but for the countless others, so Tempus was created.
— Ryan Logan, Founder, Tempus Cognitive Collective
Tempus Cognitive Collective was founded by someone who has lived the experience this organization is designed to address — not as a clinician observing from a distance, but as a family member standing in the gap between a diagnosis and the next right step.
That experience — of searching for resources, of navigating a system not designed for navigation, of watching a caregiver exhaust themselves trying to do everything alone — is the founding story of Tempus. Not a business plan. A response.
The organization is being built with the same values that guided that personal experience: honesty about what we know and what we don't, deep respect for the dignity of every person in the system, and an unshakeable belief that community is the most powerful intervention available.
Leadership
Ryan Logan
Founder & CEO
Ryan Logan is the Founder and CEO of Tempus Cognitive Collective, bringing more than two decades of nonprofit leadership, fundraising, community engagement, and service to a mission that is deeply personal.
Ryan's connection to cognitive health began with his grandmother's diagnosis. His family experienced firsthand how difficult it could be to understand the disease, find trusted guidance, access meaningful support, and identify places where his grandmother could remain engaged, connected, and purposeful. That experience stayed with him and shaped a simple belief: individuals living with cognitive change and the families who love them deserve better.
That personal connection later became professional through Ryan's work with Via Cognitive Health, where he saw the impact that meaningful engagement, physical activity, cognitive stimulation, social connection, and caregiver support can have on both individuals and families. Earlier in his career, Ryan spent nearly 20 years with the American Red Cross, serving in leadership, fundraising, and disaster-response roles focused on helping people and communities through difficult and uncertain moments.
Ryan founded Tempus to bring those experiences together and create a more connected approach to cognitive health. Through The Club at Tempus, Tempus Family Compass, and The Institute at Tempus, the organization is designed to provide meaningful engagement for members, guidance and support for families, and education and innovation that strengthen cognitive care across the broader community.
At its heart, Ryan's vision for Tempus is straightforward: help people living with cognitive change continue to live meaningful, connected lives while making sure their families have a trusted partner for the journey.
