The Club at Tempus

This is not a daycare. This is a community.

The Club at Tempus is a structured, therapeutic day program for individuals living with cognitive decline — designed around the science of engagement, the power of connection, and the belief that every person deserves a place where they belong.

Why engagement is the intervention

Decades of research are clear: social isolation accelerates cognitive decline. Meaningful engagement — purposeful activity, human connection, creative expression, physical movement — slows it. The Club is built on that science.

We are not a holding environment. We are not a place where people wait. The Club is a place where people live — where they contribute, create, connect, and matter. Every day.

And because the Club is part of the Tempus Collective, every member's family has access to navigation, caregiver support, and the full infrastructure of the organization. The Club is not a standalone service — it is one part of a whole-family model of care.

What the Club is built around

Community

Consistent relationships with peers and staff who know each member by name, by history, and by what matters to them. Belonging is not incidental — it is the program.

Purposeful engagement

Structured daily programming built around meaningful activity — art, music, movement, storytelling, gardening, cooking, and more. Activities are adapted to each member's abilities and interests.

Dignity in every interaction

Every protocol, every activity, every staff interaction is designed around the full dignity of the person — not their diagnosis. Members are not managed. They are known.

Caregiver relief

The Club gives family caregivers dedicated time to rest, work, attend to their own health, and sustain the caregiving relationship. Caregiver burnout is a medical emergency — we treat it that way.

Structured programming

Each day follows a consistent rhythm that provides orientation and comfort — with enough variety to keep members engaged and stimulated. Routine is therapeutic. So is novelty. We balance both.

Connected to the Collective

Club members and their families are connected to the full Tempus infrastructure — Family Compass navigation, caregiver support groups, The Institute's education programming, and employer resources.

A day at the Club

No two days are identical — but every day has a shape. Members arrive to a warm welcome from staff who know them. The morning begins with orientation and high intensity movement. Programming shifts through the day — creative, social, cognitive, physical — with meals and rest woven in. Members leave having contributed something, connected with someone, and experienced a day that mattered.

We want every member to go home and have something real to say when someone asks how their day was.

Access and funding

The Club at Tempus is designed to be accessible to families across the income spectrum. We are actively building funding pathways to ensure that cost is not a barrier to participation.

Private pay

Families who pay privately for Club membership directly fund the program and help subsidize access for families who cannot.

Georgia Area Agency on Aging

Tempus is working with the Georgia Area Agency on Aging to develop subsidized funding pathways for families who qualify. If cost is a barrier, talk to us — we will help you understand what support may be available based on your situation.

Veterans benefits

Veterans and their spouses may have access to VA benefits that cover adult day health care. We will help families understand and access what they have earned.

Long-term care insurance

Many long-term care insurance policies cover adult day services. We can work with families to understand their policy and submit claims.

We're not open yet — but we're building toward it. Add your family to our founding interest list and we'll be in touch as soon as we have updates.

Where we are in building the Club

The Club at Tempus is in active development. We are finalizing our facility, staffing model, and programming framework. We are not yet open — and we will tell you exactly when we are. In the meantime, we are building our founding interest list so that families who need the Club most are first to know when doors open.
